Protect Your Children the Swedish Way and Sluta Röka in the Home

Developing bodies are very susceptible to cigarette smoke so if you have a young child and enjoy a puff or two, it will be a good idea to leave smoking for when you are out of the house. There are many ways to protect your children so that they can enjoy themselves doing things like making casts of their hands and feet. Simple activities like chewing gum instead of smoking while in the house will relieve those cravings, allowing you to spend more quality time with your sons and daughters. Imagine watching them as they enjoy making moulds of their hands and feet as mementos for later on. Your children will take pleasure in an activity like this even more without having to breathe in cigarette smoke at the same time. For this reason, Swedes will recommend that you sluta röka - or refrain from smoking – while around your children.

There are several ways in which you can satisfy your cravings, resist the call of cigarettes and protect your children at the same time. When you were young, and making casts of your feet and hands with your parents, you probably lived in a smoke-free environment so, why not let your children have the same opportunity? Put on some soft music, use some aromatherapy, or simply distract yourself while helping your children to make moulds of their hands and feet. In this way, you can distract yourself from the need for a cigarette and eliminate the creation of secondhand smoke to ensure the happiness of your children and family.
